getting pretty excited for this trip, and it will be starting right away! From what I have heard she is a very nice person, and I find that most of western canada thinks she is very pretty! I will be heading out in the sturdy tour van once again (heavy chevy aka space station), this time solo. It can be a little spooky thinking about playing solo, but I always find that it ends up being a lot of fun.

I am constantly working on new songs at the moment, so I am sure I will be playing a couple new jams this trip. Thunder Bay, Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Edmonton, Calgary, and Vancouver I am looking forward to seeing you all. As always never hesitate to say hello or come and hang out! One of my favorite parts of touring is meeting people, YOU COULD BE THAT PEOPLE!! After the Lights trip it is off to Kelowna for the western canadian music awards. cross those fingers.

then back into the studio, hard at work while being constantly refreshed by sparkling water.

Today is a friday

So last night I took in the festivities at the stampede grounds. Nashville north, sup??! Had a great time with some great friends, thank you as well to the great people that said hello, and took photos throughout the night. Did not pack for todays flight, took care of that this morning. I am notoriously a last minute packer, and I also get in trouble often for being late at the airport.

I was scheduled to fly to yellowknife with Grant Lawrence and calgary rockstars the dudes, but air canada (bless their hearts) oversold the flight. Its actually a company policy to oversell, as apparently 10 percent of travellers no show.

I showed.

No go.

So meal voucher and flight credit in hand I waited for the flight to edmonton, which still hasn’t left because of a power problem and a thunder storm. I am writing this on the tarmac. The whole thing makes me laugh, I am having a great day. I am about to eat some complimentary chips. Sup now??!

Shit happens, but sometimes you gotta remember that in the end brown is still a nice hue.

I am excited for the shows, and really excited to get to toronto next week. Make sure you request movie life if you’ve got the time. Spread the word to friends and family, pass the links around, and spend some time loving your friends and family. The fall tour schedule is coming together and I am proud to say this fall will be my first ocean to ocean touring.

Hello, how are you? The sun is shining, so there truly isn’t much to complain about. It is a lot easier to enjoy the day when it’s nice outside. I do love pants though, and long sleeve shirts, so on the hot days it can be a little toasty. I guess it is time to slash some winter clothes into summer ones. Jeans and thermals can become daisy dukes and trailer park tank tops pretty easily with a good set of scissors.

Not playing too many shows in the next little bit, but I will be up to Edmonton, back to Calgary, and then up to Yellowknife. SOSFest, Calgary Stampede, and then Folk on the Rocks.

That’s all I really have to say today. I hope that you are having a great day, and I encourage you to spend some time with someone special.
